There are these types of mosquito killer racket are easily available in market at some 150 rupees.Mosquito Killer racket .This consist an electric fence in the bat portion which has 5000-10,000 volts passing through them. This is not only mosquito repellent, it’s insect zapper. When a mosquito gets in contact the high voltage burns it. The inner circuit consists of battery, a charging unit, and a HV inverter circuit, which I’m going to describe here.
The circuit consists of a flyback topology transformer driven by a general NPN transistor 2SD965. The feedback coil of transformer is of 6 turns, the primary is of 12 turns and the output or secondary coil is of 450 turns. When this circuit is run by 3Volts, the transformer generates about 2000-4000 volts at zero load, and the output is then coupled 3 times by using 3 IN4007 diodes and suitable capacitors, thus reaching our need of 5000-10,000 volts.
Note: All diodes used in circuit are IN4007 diode, The transistor is 2SD965, and can’t be replaced by BC548, The transformer should be ferrite core.

ReplyDeleteDuring the repairing I found inside the driver circuit contains ksh200 bjt,but I tried to get the same type from the electronic shopping but the ksh200 is not readily available from the market.then I opt to purchase and go for buy the 3sd695.just I do wants to collect the answer from you replacing ksh200 by 2sd965 is OK and good enough or not to replace. I reversed the terminals in the 2sd965.Even though it is not killing the insects. Will you please give some guidelines in regard this.

ReplyDeleteMosquito Racket. While checking the spark by inserting some metal stick inside the NET , it appears the spark is OK. The voltage is also showing healthy but the mosquito though falling in the NET but could not produce any spark hence they are escaped. Can you please suggest and solve the problems.
if the mosquitos are small you can put the inside mesh closer to the outer mesh and also make the mesh smaller

Deletewith continuous use the ksh200 will blow, i used an easy to find tic31c, will stand much more current and full time usage. i also updated the diodes to mur4100(rapid recuperate)
